We welcome and officially announce our newest staff member, Brandon Quintero. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, and a long time alum of Wilderness Works, Brandon joined the Wilderness Works staff in 2019 and is highly regarded for both his great proficiency in outdoor settings and strong and caring leadership style for youth in Wilderness Works programming.
Brandon has first hand awareness of many of the struggles facing Wilderness Works children as he experienced daunting poverty as a child. Brandon’s loving mother kept a roof over the heads of her five children while she managed two jobs. Boys and girls in Wilderness Works are quick to follow the helpful and caring guidance that Brandon shares.
Brandon has “grown up” in Wilderness Works programming and was able to travel through many of America’s greatest trails and has enjoyed extensive backcountry experience in multiple National Parks and Forests including the Appalachian Trail, Wyoming’s Wind River Range, Pisgah National Forest, Yellowstone, Mount Rainier, Cumberland Island, Boundary Waters, Snowmass Wilderness, Redwood Forests, Crater Lake and many more.
Brandon is also a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School.
Fortunately for our children, Brandon is ideally qualified to teach skills and values and epitomizes a team player. Brandon manages both our Field and Core Camp programming as well as fundraising work and our facility’s maintenance. Brandon even drives our bus! We are so grateful to have him on our staff!
