Horseback!

Our Wilderness Works campers enjoyed an amazing day out at Lake Oconee and were hosted by the Healing Hearts and Horses for an unforgettable day of horseback riding. Healing Hearts has an amazing story! They rescue horses that are set to be euthanized and gives these majestic animals a second chance in life.

Perfect weather and millions of cicadas that were having a rare 12 year brood filled the air with sound.

This was another impactful program Wilderness Works offers our children, many of whom had never seen a live horse before!
And by the smiles on the faces of the riders, one they won’t soon forget.
