Wilderness Works in the Great Indoors
When the weather is cold, we turn our attention to creating memorable experiences for our Atlanta youth.
Recently, we enjoyed a great Saturday touring an actual Boeing 747 and expanding the dreams of a group of boys that might rarely leave their zip code! Special thanks to Delta Airlines and the great folks at the Delta Flight Museum for showing our campers the jets that will someday transport them to National Parks all over the country!
Another recent weekend with an emphasis on climbing at Atlanta’s amazing Stone Summit. Many of our guys had never used climbing gear yet soon made it all the way to the top! Physical fitness and confidence building were both in large supply on this outing!
Several of our campers were treated to a thrilling Virtual Reality experience courtesy of the Pierce Family Foundation at Eclipso Atlanta. The virtual environments like the Pyramids of Ghiza and the African Serengeti are breathtaking and amazing to walk through, see and touch!
We’re grateful for the support of the Pierce Family Foundation for sponsoring a fun outing at Top Golf Our campers had fun knocking the golf ball down range!
