Tri-Mountain Spring Break

Wilderness Works campers had an incredible SPRING BREAK adventure at the beautiful Tri-Mountain Retreat in Ellijay, GA. Groups of boys from Crawford Long Middle School and Atlanta’s Genesis Innovation Academy enjoyed the many fun activities that this wonderful camp provides.
Wilderness Works is delivering nature rich alternatives atypical of “spring break” activities campers often face – our excursion to Tri-Mountain achieved that goal! After a week of swimming and kayaking on Tri Mountain’s spectacular lake and adventurous hikes on mountain trails with sweeping vistas there was still time each night for campfires and smores.
Fishing (and much catching!) was a first for some of these Atlanta-based boys. Another exciting first for a number of these boys was tent building and camping overnight in the cool mountain air..
Special thanks to talented cook Tyrique Revere for preparing amazing meals (and treats) each day at Tri Mountain Retreat’s rustic outdoor kitchen and pavilion. Special thanks to Wilderness Works alumnus and National Park fan Ahmani Armstrong for leading our boys on amazing hikes.
Wilderness Works is grateful to Bob Lipman and others who made this spring break camp experience impactful for our campers.
