Summer Camp at High Harbour
Summer Camp has begun!
Summer camp at Camp High Harbour is an absolute launchpad for growth for campers from Wilderness Works!
Wilderness Works boys particularly benefitted in 2025 from the YMCA Boy’s Outdoor Leadership Development (BOLD) at YMCA’s Camp High Harbour on Lake Alatoona. The fun was giant as our campers experience all the happy magic that summer camp offers!
According to one camper, “Disney Night where we drove around the camp in golf carts, had a snack station where they had whipped cream covered rice crispy treats and popcorn. They had us in golf carts driving them around racing, next we had Archery while we were driving to the waterfront, then we got on a boat driving around while the counselors dressed as pirates were throwing smoke bombs and blowing bubbles at us. We even played a couple games that were Disney related.”
Further explorations took our campers to Historic Banning Mills in Whitesburg, GA where canopy tours and ziplining happened, as well as learning about the Snake Creek Gorge and the history of Banning Mills.
The next adventure took our campers to Cherokee Rock Village in Leesburg, AL. Days were filled with hiking, rock climbing and caving. Nights were spent tent camping under the stars.
Wilderness Works is very grateful to the folks at Camp High Harbour for welcoming our campers and providing them summer camp memories that will last a lifetime!
